the 15th November set for new Pokemon games Sword and Shield

The newest Pokemon games, Sword and Shield have now a confirmed release date which is the 15th November. These games are coming to the Nintendo Switch and me for one along with others am excited for this! Always been a fan of the Pokemon games and the excitement never stops. To add to this it has also been announced that the Dynamax feature will be available, which is basically super sizing your pokemon which boosts their strength, this can only be used once per match so you will need to decide when best to use it! For more info check out their Twitter page @pokemon.

Amazon UK inadvertently leaked the new Watchdogs game via a listing, titled Watch Dogs Legion. It has since been removed from their website. However off the back of this, Ubisoft have released a teaser that confirms the rumours, there isn’t much to gather from the teaser, just the logo but still it will hype up the game nevertheless

Next week…the biggest games convention will be happening…E3!

This year Sony will not be making an appearance, there is no definitive reason why not as they have been vague, fobbing us off with excuses such as not having enough to show off and it is not great timing in the year for it.

With the lack of Sony this year, Microsoft will be looking to take full advantage of this and claim that this will be the biggest E3 ever for them. Other than Microsoft there will be plenty of announcements from the likes of Ubisoft, Nintendo, Square Enix etc.

E3 will be kicking off on Tuesday but normally most of the reveals are made just before so stay tuned this weekend as who knows what we will find out

As always we shall keep you in the loop!

Gear of Wars 5 coming to pc Magic Tv show coming to Netflix

Gear of Wars 5 will be released on PC along with the Age of Empires: Definitive Edition Trilogy. This is big news for Microsoft for their move into the PC gaming industry. This could potentially mean that a Gears of War anthology could come to the PC too. Microsoft already had their fans giddy with the announcement of the Halo: Master Chief Collection. Hopefully, they have more news to share this coming E3. Fable 3 for the PC perhaps? One can only dream.

Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not bring COD zombies back. This is to make the fans feel more immersed in tactical realism. While this means that the game would lack one major content, it might bring a fresh dose of nostalgia to fans of their old titles. In an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, Campaign Gameplay Director Jacob Minkoff explains “Because they (Treyarch) focus on more of the stylised, graphic novel, super-hero experience, they can have the much more ‘out there’ different types in their games. But for us, we’re trying to create an authentic, realistic feeling world. We don’t have the flexibility to do something like put zombies in the game. That would compromise the feeling of playing in a world that feels unrealistic and authentic and relative to today’s conflicts and things we face.” The game releases on October 25, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

In other news, The Russo brothers will be making a Magic: The Gathering animated series with Netflix. Yes, you heard that correctly. After their success with Marvel, it comes as a bit of a shock for them to go to producing a TV series. Magic: The Gathering is by far the biggest name in the Trading Card Game genre and it would be exciting to see how they would begin telling Magic’s story where there are multiple multiverses and storylines to go through.

Notable game releases from last week – Blood & Truth, Lapis x Labyrinth, Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, Little Friends: Dogs & Cats, Kingdom Come Deliverance: Royal Edition, Go Fishing 3D, Among the Sleep: Enhanced Edition, It Lurks Below, DayZ (consoles) and PixARK.

New Avengers Game could be coming soon plus Witcher will be coming to netflix in a new series for the platfrom

Transcript

There are

leaks coming out that Square Enix will release a game called Marvel’s Avengers. This is a market that Marvel is trying to enter and take over which is the gaming industry. With multiple titles currently out on the mobile platform such as Marvel Future Fight, Marvel Strike Force and Marvel Super War, they are also trying to enter genres outside of fighting like Spider-Man in 2018. It will be interesting to know which platform will Marvel’s Avenger be in whether it is the mobile platform, pc gaming or consoles. Some of the descriptions about the game were leaked and posted in the PS4 subreddit which could potentially mean that it could be exclusive. We can only wait until they officially announce it at this year’s E3.

Warhammer Vermintide 2 will be adding a new DLC called the “Winds of Magic” to their hit sequel. The expansion will raise the level cap of the game, add new enemies, more challenges to grind and brand new weapons. The beta is currently up if you want to sign up and the DLC will be released in August.

In other news, Netflix’s Witcher series has just finished filming. Henry Cavill confirmed it with a post saying “Season 1 of The Witcher has finally come to an end. And although I’m pulling a face here it has been an incredible journey! The cast and crew worked tirelessly throughout, everyone pitched in and brought their A game to set and I couldn’t be more proud of you all. Speaking of my immediate team. Jacqui, Ailbhe and Leah are consummate professionals who worked extraordinary hours to bring the Witcher to life, they were non stop improving adjusting and evolving Geralt throughout. Thank you ladies for making this journey a good one. All of those 3 am wake ups were worth it!”. They have seem to be hinting that there would be more than one season but it will ultimately be up to Netflix if they want to renew it. Most probably, they will wait and see how the show goes first before renewing it. We all know that Netflix sometimes cancel great shows if they deem necessary.

With probably the biggest headline in gaming this week, Larian Studios, the company behind the game of the year “Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2”, are teasing that Baldur’s Gate 3 might be in the works. This is one of the greatest role playing games of all time which ended in 2001. They released a photo of a big three that seems to resemble Baldur Gate’s art.

Date set for Gamescom 2019 a long with location play Pokemon while you sleep

Transcript:

Hello and welcome back voucherpark gamers to today’s podcast, for Wednesday 29th of May 2019.
In today’s news:

One of the world’s biggest gaming event is coming to Singapore in 2020. Singapore will be hosting next year’s Gamescom which will be held from October 15 to 18, 2020. Last year in Germany, Gamescom reached nearly 400,000 visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors. We can only imagine how big that number would get as the event moves to target the Asian market, which is the largest gaming market in the whole world. Just to put a perspective on how big the Asian market is, the region owns 52% of the gaming market and China alone is bigger than both North America and Latin America combined.

In other news, The Pokemon Company announces Pokemon Sleep. As weird as that gaming title sounds, it is completely straight forward. It is a game that you can play while sleeping. There isn’t much detail revealed about the game but the game will have a target release date for the year 2020.

Marvel will be teaming up with NetEase to launch a new MOBA game for mobile phones. The game is called Marvel Super War and they have just finished their beta stage. The game will feature heroes from the Marvel Universe which will be a treat for both fans of Marvel and the MOBA game genre.

New fable game could be on the way Google to close the gaming YouTube app 2 days

Transcript:

Hello and welcome back voucherpark gamers to today’s podcast, for Tuesday 28th of May 2019.
In today’s news:

CD Projekt will not be releasing a playable demo at E3 this year but only a gameplay presentation. This is not the news fans wanted to hear since their presentation at the same event last year. The bad news does not end there. It is also rumoured that their planned release date will be delayed. Territory Studio, the company behind the logo for Cyberpunk 2077, had a post in Reddit, where they said that the game will be released this 2019, has now been deleted. Yikes. Given all their success at last year’s event, people would expect more out of the game and possibly even a release date. Fans will just have to wait on what CD Projekt has in store for this year’s E3.

On the bright side of things, there are rumours that Sony will be finally giving a release date for The Last of Us II this week. They will also be releasing a new trailer to show according to sources close to Sony. Not only that but Hideo Kojima, the genius behind Metal Gear Solid, released a teaser for Death Stranding which had fans keep wondering what the game is about. It has been more than 3 years since the game’s announcement and fans still doesn’t know what the game is about. It looks like Sony is looking to steal the show from E3.

News from Microsoft. There has been a leak where if you type “Fable” on Mixer, one of Microsoft’s streaming service, you would be able to find “Fable 4” without any thumbnail. Rumours about the game has been going around for years now and just keeps gaining steam every year. The company has listed job openings towards the end of 2018 for a AAA rpg game they have in the works. It is rumoured to be Fable 4 and with the recent leak, it looks like it is indeed true. If not, Microsoft is playing a dangerous game here.

In more gaming news, Google announces the shutdown of their Youtube Gaming App effective 30th of May. Google released their app to rival twitch’s gaming platform and the reason for their shutdown is to “build a new home for the gaming community that thrives on Youtube, not just the Youtube gaming app”.

Possable new Simpsons Game coming soon 2019 2020 new hi tech gloves by sony

Transcript:
Hello and welcome back voucherpark gamers to today’s podcast, for Monday 27th of May 2019.
In today’s news:

There have been rumours of Sony developing a pair of hi-tech gloves that will be used for virtual reality gaming. The gloves will respond to certain types of interaction in the game. There are a few games in mind that would be perfect for this technology. Upcoming games like Borderlands 3 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a few picks that could use this technology if it ever reaches the last quarter of 2019. While things are not set in stone, they have claimed the patent, and it is exciting to see what is next in store for Sony.

In other news, Overwatch commissioner, Nate Nanzer, is set to leave Activision Blizzard for Epic Games to work on Fortnite. Activision Blizzard loses another notable figure in their company. Nate Nanzer spearheaded the competitive scene for Overwatch and is one of the main reasons for the league’s success since 2016. Nate Nanzer said and I quote, “Hey Overwatch League family. I wanted to share that soon I will be leaving Blizzard for a new opportunity. This has been the toughest decision of my life because it means I won’t get to work with the best staff, players, teams, owners, partners, and fans in esports anymore.”

More news about the upcoming E3 event this coming June. It is quite a shock to hear that the entertainment streaming giant, Netflix, will be having their panel for this coming E3 but the news keeps on getting more bizarre with ‘The Simpsons” securing their own panel for the event. Could this be the long-awaited sequel to their Hit & Run game or possibly a remaster?

Here is news from Paradox Interactive, the company that brought elusive titles such as Cities Skylines and Stellaris to PC gamers. They have just confirmed that there will be a brand new strategy game that will be announced at PDXCON this coming October in Berlin. There is no news yet whether the game will be a sequel to their previous titles or a completely new title.

News from GOG. GOG announces a refreshed platform of their GOG Galaxy. With all the fray on which pc platform to use, GOG might have just found the solution. Here is the quote from GOG’s managing director, Piotr Karwowski. “As gamers, we need to juggle between multiple clients to access our games and see what our friends are playing. We believe gamers deserve a better experience, and this became the driving force to redefine GOG GALAXY client. GOG GALAXY 2.0 is designed for all gamers and extends well beyond existing GOG users, into both PC and console platforms.” Instead of companies like Epic Games, EA and Steam duking it out to be the go-to platform for gamers, GOG announces their solution and hopefully be the one stop to all different platforms.

Notable game releases for this week.

Total War: Three Kingdoms. Assassin’s Creed 3: Remastered. Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland. Dauntless (consoles). Observation. Resident Evil Origins Collection. Team Sonic Racing.
