April-25th-2019 gaming podcast

Transcript:

Hello and welcome back voucherpark gamers to today’s podcast.

In today’s news:

BlizzCon 2019 won’t be kicking off until November, but Blizzard will start selling tickets to its annual fan celebration next week. Tickets will go on sale on May 4, but if you miss out, a second wave will be sold on May 9.
They’ll be pricey though. The cheapest tier is a $229 pass that includes a commemorative statue, unannounced goodies and general admission to the show and “pregame festivities” on the Thursday before the show.

The Portal Pass, $550, is a new tier that includes everything from the standard pass, as well as perks like preferred parking, separate registration, a dedicated lounge and access to the Darkmoon Faire area for a pre-show event called “Night at the Faire”.

$750 and you’ll get a Benefit Dinner pass, letting you meet Blizzard developers while helping out a children’s health charity. You’ll get everything from the standard and Portal tiers.

This year’s BlizzCon will be bigger apparently, with more room set aside for indoor activities, including contests, developer panels, demos and tournaments in Hearthstone, Overwatch, StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft. You’ll have an endless supply of esports finals to watch.

If you’re aching for the old days of Zoo Tycoon, UK-based developer Frontier has a nice surprise for you. The studio’s next game is Planet Zoo, a zoo management simulator similar to Planet Coaster (without all the thrills of a theme park), and it’s coming to PC this fall.
Frontier, whose recent work includes Elite Dangerous and Jurassic World Evolution, spent time at real zoos consulting with workers and veterinarians in order to create an accurate zookeeping experience. Special care was taken to create distinctive, lifelike models that make the animals feel authentic. Frontier believes Planet Zoo will have the most realistic animals in any game, ever.
We don’t know a lot of specifics about Planet Zoo just yet, but fans are already creating wishlists for their ideal zoo.

Hello, welcome back VoucherPark gamers to today’s podcast for wednesday 17th april 2019.

Following the shocking events in Paris on Monday that saw the iconic Notre-Dame cathedral sustain devastating fire damage, Ubisoft has pledged to donate 500k to help with the restoration and reconstruction of the historic landmark.

2014’s assassins creed: unity is set in Paris and includes a faithful representation of the famous cathedral. You can take a look at Unity Notre-Dame in the original E3 announcement trailer above.

Remember the minecraft movie? Three years ago, it was slated for release in may 2019, but with May 2019 just about here and no sign of the movie, you may not be surprised to hear that it has been rescheduled for another three years down the road.

The lengthy delay comes just a few months after variety reported that Peter Sollett, who previously directed Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist as well as episodes of television shows including The Village, Rise, and The Path, had signed up to direct the film. Sollett replaced It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator Rob McElhenney, who joined the project in 2015 but left over scheduling issues; Steve Carell, who was reportedly in talks for a role in the film, is also out for similar reasons. The Minecraft movie will follow the adventures of a teenage girl and her pals, who must save the Overworld from the destructive scourge of the Ender Dragon. That’s pretty much it for plot at this point, but three years is plenty of time to pull something together..

Gaming podcast 8th April 2019

Transcript:

Hello and welcome back voucherpark gamers to today’s daily podcast for Monday 8th April 2019.

In today’s news:

Apex legends is going to start penalising players for leaving their games early.
Last week’s 1.1 patch for apex legends caused some minor stress for players when they logged in and found that the accounts had been reset. Fortunately this was just a brief moment and the issue was solved nearly straight away. Unfortunately this wasn’t the only issue caused, in some cases players found for a short time there was a penalty for leaving a game early.
Will this be implemented into the game full time?
It would be handy for those players who are left stranded on the battlefield, when their teammates leave the game. let’s wait and see.

Why not play as a crabby crustacean with a knife in the hilariously funny comedy game. knife 2 meat u.
The crustaceous cousin to Untitled Goose Game, and Catlateral Damage, Knife 2 Meat U is a game about a horrible crab. A horrible crab that has somehow got hold of a blade. You play as said crab in this silly comedy physics game, skittering about a house and garden causing trouble for the owners, who were most likely hoping to have you for dinner.
the knife-wielding crab is not the easiest thing to control. You’ll need to master its awkward movement, as well as physically slicing at items with the blade, in order to progress through the residence, and get revenge on the human family inside.
