Valve is under fire yet again for having a policy that anything goes when selling games on steam. A quote from them Valve’s developer guidelines currently do not prohibit the depiction of illegal acts, but do prohibit acts whose depiction is illegal, such as anything involving minors. Here’s something they said about the policy last year, quote “Steam Store is going to contain something that you hate, and don’t think should exist…However, offending someone shouldn’t take away your game’s voice. We believe you should be able to express yourself like everyone else, and to find others who want to play your game. The game under fire is not yet released so could off just slip there first filtering. But it seems to be an storyboard based game that actively encourages the player to sexually assault women. In fact, that’s the entire point of the game. It’s a visual novel which also contains non-consensual sex, necrophilia, and incest.
